Foreign Affairs Minister Maris Sangiampongsa, chaired a meeting in Nakhon Ratchasima province with representatives from local organizations from Nakhon Ratchasima, Surin and Buriram provinces, including the Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Thai Industries, vocational education institutes and the Young Entrepreneur Chamber of Commerce.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and exchange views on expanding local businesses globally.

Boosting trade and investment, tourism and creative economy

The discussion cover key issues such as boosting trade and investment, enhancing tourism industry and creative economy sectors, and developing Thailand’s skilled workforce to meet new market demands, which could be achieve through vocational cooperation with foreign countries.

The Foreign Minister also highlighted that the foreign and public policy are identical, which aim to improve the quality of life and income of the Thai people.

Earlier before the meeting, the Foreign Minister visit NakhonRatchasima Technical College to learn about the training system at the True Capability Center and the EV laboratory where essential skills in key industries are taught and develop.

Enhanced Nakhon Ratchasima to upgrade for digitalization

Prime Minister Srettha also posted in platform “X” that the government enhancedNakhon Ratchasima province to upgrade for digitalization.

“My government’s whole-of-society digitalization policy starts with e-government to enhance efficiency and transparency. And Nakhon Ratchasima province or “Korat” has proven to be one of the leaders towards that, especially in the digitalization of its local economy both in the public and private sectors.”

“This is very much in line with the government’s effort towards transforming Thailand into the global “Digital Economy Hub” under the Ignite Thailand vision.”
