The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) report that Bangkok has been name the ‘Best City’ in DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards 2024.
Bangkok previously won the ‘Best City’ title three years in a row in the 2018 edition of the DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards, and subsequently held on to the crown in the 2020 and 2022 editions. This is testament that the Thai capital continues to be one of the best love cities for tourists from around the world.
Other Thai destinations also earn distinction, with Phuket and Ko Samui being name 3rd and 4th ‘Best Islands’, respectively.
On the aviation front, Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport was name the 2nd ‘Best Airport’, and Thai Airways International (THAI) was place 3rd in the ‘Best Airlines’ category.
THAI also placed 3rd in both the ‘Best Airlines: Premium Classes’ and ‘Best Airlines: Economy Class’ categories, and 5th place in ‘Best In-flight Entertainment’. Meanwhile, THAI’s Royal Orchid Plus programme was placed 3rd in the ‘Best Frequent-Flyer Programmes’ category.
The DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards celebrate excellence in the Asia-Pacific luxury travel sector with readers voting in various categories, including destinations, hotels and resorts, airlines, airports, and cruise lines.
Voting for DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards 2025 will open on 1 August 2024, and close on 20 October 2024.
