GPSC celebrated the success in completing the construction of the first windfarm project in the portfoliowith CIP, manifesting the potential of 600MW Changfangand Xidao Offshore Windfarm (CFXD) in Taiwan despite the challenges from geographic limitations

Mr Worawat Pitayasiri, president and chief executive officer of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC,

the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, revealedthat, on 22 May 2024,

GPSC and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) delightfully celebrate the success

in the completion of the joint venture Changfang and Xidao Offshore Windfarm (CFXD), with the capacity of 600 MW, which the installation of 62 turbines is finish.

This achievement clearly reflects the efficiency of project management in spite of the challenging conditions

and limitations from geography, weather constraints, and reliance on the local supply chain for windfarm components and installation activities.

More future projects in the region

In addition, thesharing of knowledge and expertise between the partners can further pave ways for the development of future projects of GPSC and CIP in this region.

CFXD is regard as the first windfarm project in Taiwan implement under the collaboration of GPSC and CIP. The construction of the project had been kick off in 2018. The 62Vestas V174-9.6MW turbines with significant degree of localization have been completely install. The power generation of each turbine has been gradually commenc since2022. It is expect that the project can supply clean energy to 650,000 households.
