May 29, 2024, at 1145hrs (HongKong SAR local time), at the Drawing Room, Office of the Chief Executive (CEO), HongKong Special Administrative Region, People’s Republic of China, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin had a bilateral meeting with HongKong SAR Chief Executive the Honorable John Lee Ka-chiu. Gist of the meeting is as follows:

The Prime Minister and HongKong Chief Executive were pleas to meet again after a bilateral meeting during the Prime Minister’s visit to HongKong October last year. Thailand and HongKong have forged close economic cooperation with an increase in mutual trade value.

HongKong Chief Executive commended the Prime Minister’s vision on investment promotion, whereas the Prime Minister praisedHong Kong’s excellent investment and MICE infrastructures.

The two parties were pleas with tourism cooperation. The PM thanked HongKong for allowing Thailand to organize Songkran Festival in HongKong which further strengthens people-to-people contact and tourism cooperation. Thailand and HongKong also committed to continue to work together in promoting closer trade and investment cooperation.
